What data is processed?
When you visit our website, information about your usage behaviour may be processed, depending on your settings. This includes, for example:

  3. IP address (truncated or pseudonymised where applicable)
  4. Date and time of the visit
  5. Information regarding the effectiveness of our marketing activities

Processing is carried out on the following legal bases: 

  1. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent)
    for optional analytics and marketing cookies, as well as for tracking and retargeting technologies.
  2. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interests)
    for technically necessary cookies, server log files and ensuring the functionality and security of the website.
  3. Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract)
    where you contact us via forms and we process your enquiry.

We distinguish between:

  1. Technically necessary cookies, which are required for the operation of the website.
  2. Analytics and marketing cookies, which help us to improve our website and our campaigns

Tracking & Analysis
To better understand which content is relevant to our visitors, we analyse the use of our website. The insights gained help us to further develop features, optimise content and identify errors more quickly.
To this end, we use, amongst other things:

Marketing & Retargeting
We would like to be able to show interested parties relevant information and adverts on other platforms even after they have visited our website.
To do this, we use marketing and retargeting technologies, such as the LinkedIn Insight Tag.

Depending on the technology used, this involves both cookies and cookie-independent methods such as device or browser information, server communication or similar technical identifiers.


Embedded content
On some pages, we embed content from external providers, such as YouTube videos. When this content is accessed, a connection may be established with the respective provider’s servers and personal data (e.g. your IP address or browser information) may be processed.
 

Fonts
We use licensed fonts to display our website. Depending on the provider used, a connection may be established to their servers when the fonts are loaded in order to verify licence or usage authorisations.

 

Recipients and categories of recipients
Personal data may be transferred to the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting and
cloud providers - Analytics and tracking service providers (Google, Leadinfo, LinkedIn)
- Providers of embedded content and fonts -
Where applicable, other data processors in connection with the technical maintenance of the website

 

Transfers
to third countries When using Google, LinkedIn and YouTube services, personal data may be transferred to the USA. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or – where applicable – on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

 

Retention
period The retention period depends on the respective purpose of processing:

  1. Technically necessary cookies and server log files: generally until the end of the browser session or for a maximum of 7–14 days.
  2. Analytics and marketing cookies: in accordance with the consent you have given and the guidelines of the respective providers (often 1–24 months).
  3. Enquiries: for as long as necessary to process them and subsequently in accordance with statutory retention periods.

Once the relevant periods have expired, the data will be deleted or anonymised, provided there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

 

Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights in relation to us:

  1. Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  2. Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  3. Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  4. Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  5. Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  6. Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  7. Right to withdraw consent (Article 7(3) of the GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is generally the Rhineland-Palatinate State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
