An upgrade for 190 years of ‘Ideas full of Energy’
Standardkessel Baumgarte is the result of a merger between two pioneers who began building industrial boilers more than 100 years ago. Today, the company is part of the Japanese technology group JFE.
In response to changing market conditions, Standardkessel Baumgarte is focusing its service portfolio on plants for the thermal recovery of residual waste, biomass and sewage sludge. zuk.’s task: to modernise the entire brand identity and, in particular, relaunch the website – all in time for the company’s upcoming anniversary.
The website project began by refining the brand positioning and messaging and modernising the corporate design.
Building on this foundation, the new B2B website is being developed using TYPO3 and Docker, with complex content clearly structured within a Bento-style layout. A modular content system with flexible modules gives the client the freedom to manage around 95 per cent of the content themselves, without having to turn every update into an ‘agency matter’.

The visual design has been migrated to a scalable template system based on TYPO3. This allows content to be managed efficiently and expanded flexibly. Integrated modules for news, the careers section and client references create a central platform for communication, recruitment and project presentation. TYPO3 enables a stable and future-proof web architecture.
First real-world test in front of a live audience: the main stage at the company’s 190th-anniversary event at the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, both internally and externally.
